Limbury sits about 3 miles north of central Luton in the LU3 postcode, though parts bleed into LU1 depending on the street. It's a mixed residential area with a lot of 1930s and 1950s semi-detached houses alongside some later council-built stock from the 1960s and 70s. We get a steady flow of work out here, mainly domestic lockouts, cylinder replacements on ageing front doors, and the occasional garage or rear gate job. It's a well-settled neighbourhood and the calls are usually straightforward.
Limbury Road and Icknield Way run through the heart of the area, and we typically come up via the A505 from Luton town centre, turning off near Limbury Mead. Biscot Road borders the area to the south and there's easy access through the Marsh Farm estate on the northern edge. A lot of the older semis still have the original timber frames with Yale-type rim locks on the front and a basic deadlock or nothing at all on the back. That combination is genuinely under-secured for 2024, and it shows up in the jobs we get called to.
Most common Limbury jobs
- Lockouts on 1950s semis where the Yale has dropped on the latch, response around 20-25 minutes from town
- Cylinder upgrades to anti-snap TS007 3-star locks, particularly on older UPVC doors on the Marsh Farm side
- Broken Yale rim locks on timber front doors, usually on the pre-war and early post-war housing stock
- Rear door deadlock repairs after doors have swollen or dropped on their hinges over winter
- Key extraction where a worn key has snapped in a euro cylinder, common on the mid-2000s UPVC replacements
- Lock changes for new tenants in the rental properties around Blenheim Crescent and the surrounding streets

Limbury FAQ
Not really. We come up the A505 and cut through Biscot Road or Limbury Road depending on traffic. Marsh Farm itself can add a few minutes if we're heading to the northern end, but for most of Limbury you're looking at 20-25 minutes from central Luton on a normal day.
