Ethics Policy
Last updated: July 2026.
Trust matters in this trade, because you are letting us into your home and onto your locks. This policy sets out the standards Locks Local holds itself to, both on the job and in what we publish.
Honest pricing and work
We are straight about cost. On the phone we give our labour rates and an estimate on parts and VAT, and the technician confirms the price before any work begins. We do not invent problems, we do not fit parts you do not need, and we tell you when the cheaper option is the right one.
Safety and identification
- Every technician carries photo ID
- For lockouts we may ask for proof you live at or own the property, for your protection and ours
- We take particular care where someone may be at risk or vulnerable
Respect and confidentiality
We treat your home and your details with care. Information about your property and security is kept confidential and handled in line with our Privacy Policy. We respect the intellectual property of others in our content and attribute sources properly.
Editorial ethics
The advice we publish is independent of any advertiser or brand. We disclose any sponsored or affiliate content clearly, and we keep our guidance honest even when it points away from paid work. This sits alongside our Publishing Principles.
Accountability
We take responsibility for our work and our words. If we make a mistake we put it right, and we correct errors in our content as set out in our Corrections Policy. You can raise anything with us through our contact form or on 01582 343069.
